Karen Hudson has been an honorary member of our family since the fall of 2003 when my Welsh Corgi, Tucker, was invited to participate in a photo shoot that Karen had arranged with a dog daycare provider in my area. Since that first and very special meeting, Karen's skill has captured Tucker's happy, joyful and sometimes goofy personality in a wonderful variety of settings, and our family has been so proud to find that several of his photos have been accepted into a worldwide selection of calendar publishings since 2005. A couple years back I was thumbing through a dog show catalog and came across an ad forKaren Hudson Familytails Pet Photography, so I decided to give them a call.To this day it is the best call I ever made. Karen is so wonderful with the dogs, she has unbelievable patience’s and talent. I have 2 Dobermans that can be snot monkey’s and not do a thing they are told once we get to the studio. Karen has the talent that no matter what they are doing she gets fantastic pictures. "I was amazed at how well Karen handled photographing a litter of 5 young kittens. She is a natural with animals and was really able to catch each kitten's unique personality in her photos. I used the photos to get the kittens adopted, which worked wonderfully. The pictures were so good that they were also featured in a cat rescue group's newsletter, and we have two of them (of our kitties) framed at home. Words do not do justice to what a wonderful, caring and compassionate person Karen is. She is truly dedicated to her profession; however it is not just a profession for her. I have three dogs, one of which is an abused, very timid and fearful dog. When we go to take pictures with Karen, time is not an issue, she makes a concerted issue to ensure that all of the dogs are comfortable and we do not feel rushed. Karen has also done an outdoors photo shoot with my fearful dog and her patience and sincerity is unwavering. Karen Hudson is phenomenal pet photographer. We have two cute (we think) long haired Chihuahuas. She shot some casual garden photos of our dogs at a friend's party. To our amazement, the next year our dogs appeared in multiple Chihuahua calendars! What an unexpected thrill! Over the next four years, her photographic talents featured our dogs in multiple calendars every year, culminating in the ultimate excitement of seeing our two dogs on the COVER of the 2008 Longhaired Chihuahua calendar! I keep watching the little video you sent me and I'm crying. After I lost my Jake, I didn't think I'd find happy again. Then, magically, came Nemo. And you made him look so beautiful. I know my Jake's spirit is inside him somewhere or, if not his spirit, Jake sent Nemo to me. The crying from sadness is over, now my life........ the crying will be from joy.
